Description Traditional cast iron cauldron, made in Uzbekistan, in the city of Namangan. The outer base is spherical. The Uzbek cauldron is distinguished primarily by its polished inner surface and good wall thickness. The cauldrons are manually polished inside, having a perfectly smooth surface, but the aluminum lid is not of the best quality and does not fit the cauldron perfectly. The outer spherical base of the cauldron is more suitable for cooking over a fire in the oven, as it allows better contact of the flame with the surface of the cauldron. The more the cauldron is used, the better it becomes. Real Uzbek pilaf can only be cooked in an authentic Uzbek cast iron cauldron. Rules for using cast iron dishes: Caution! After purchase, before the first use, the cast iron cauldron should be calcined for 60 minutes at a temperature of 100 degrees, using sunflower oil, until the manufacturing oil burns out completely. We also recommend using onions for calcination (it eliminates odors), and the first time to cook peasant potatoes in the cauldron. It is not recommended to store food in cast iron dishes. After cooking, the cauldron should be washed with warm water, without using detergents. Before storage, it is recommended to grease the cauldron with a thin layer of sunflower oil. It is recommended to store the cauldron in a dry place.
